What You’ll Love About This Book :The Gruffalo’s Child by Julia Donaldson is a sequel to the fantastic The Gruffalo. The story is told in lovely rhyming language and can be brought to life with some good voicevariations! Julia Donaldson always produces brilliant books which are colourful and encourage children to look at the pictures. In this book the young Gruffalo sets off into the woods to find the Big Bad Mouse that her father has told her stories about. On her adventure she meets the snake, fox, owl and finally the famous mouse. The pictures in the book are full of colour to keep our attention and we loved the cheeky little mouse. We thought that the Gruffalo’s child was probably about our age and very brave.A worthy addition to the little one’s library!
