Book Name: Together
Author: Jane Simmons
Publisher: Orchard Books
Theme/Topic: This picture book’s theme is the similarities and differences. Two dogs that are very different at all levels are very good friends. So a conflict! They cannot accept each other’s differences….
What You’ll Love About This Book: Too cute! Me and my son both loved picture books and we found this really really cute.
“Together” is a delightful story of the ups and downs of having a best friend. Author introduces kids to two adorable dogs, big Mousse and little Nut, who become friends one rainy day. Soon, they are doing everything together, until they start to notice little differences. And when those differences become more pronounced, their friendship falls apart…until they learn a valuable life lesson about commitment and sticking it out.
A great story about how despite your differences, you can still be best friends. I think this book does a great job showing kids that no matter how different their friends are, they can still find a common ground and become best friends like Mousse and Nut. Loved the message that we don’t have to do everything together in order to be best friends. It’s a worth buy.

What You’ll Love About This Book: Frankly finding a good Hindi story book was always a little challenge for me but when I came across Prathambooks we just loved their book.Pratham Books is a non-for-profit organization that publishes books in multiple Indian languages to promote reading among children. Their books are recent addition in our library. And little one wants to read this also .Now reading Hindi books became equally fun. And the best part they are so affordable and less expensive.
If you want to introduced Hindi books to kids this is a must have.
This is a beautiful story about “Accepting people who look different and also not being prejudiced and most import lesson of accepting ourselves.
Many people look different to us because of the country they come from, or because of their physical differences. It is unkind to laugh at people just because they look different. We are all different and we can’t change the way that we look.We will only make ourselves unhappy if we worry about our appearances.Accept ourselves the way we are is very important.
Stories are the best way to teaching these things to kids. This story covers this beautifully.

What You’ll Love About This Book:
Last month my son was not keeping well for almost a week and he was sleeping almost entire day. He doesn’t want to play but surely want me to read aloud more…..he correlated his situation with this story so much as asked me to read this only many times in a day and what mumma can do so I read this again and again J
This is such a sweet story about what true friendship is about. This story about a bear who feels sick! His friends want him to come out and play, but he feels too unwell to go. His friends come over and comfort him as best they can. I love how much thought is put into the words on the pages. Such a cute way to show kids how to take care of someone who is sick.
Lots of rhyming words which is fun to read. The illustrations are done in acrylic paint. They are absolutely adorable and colorful. The facial expressions are well done. The pictures give you a warm and fuzzy feeling. This story is perfect for a read aloud during illness.
